About the Project
In today's world, seven out of ten tertiary education students are actively involved in the tech, creative, and entrepreneurship sectors. These students commonly face challenges such as balancing school and work, maintaining good academic performance, and gaining access to learning tools and mentorship. These challenges led to the creation of The Unschooled Podcast.
The Unschooled Podcast is fronted by two girls, myself and my co-host. As students, we're open to discussing anything and everything. From everyday life and schooling to technology and entrepreneurship, we aim to deliver enlightening conversations. We believe there's no definitive handbook for success in these fields, so we share relatable experiences to help students tackle the mentioned challenges.
Branding
In branding the Unschooled Podcast, I combined striking visuals with emotive storytelling to reflect the brand's tech-focused and youthful character. Our primary audience for the podcast is students and graduates of higher education institutions.
Colors and Typography:
To convey a youthful vibe, I used vibrant colors all round our visuals including photography. I incorporated a tech symbol into the logo to represent the 60% of our audience who are students-in-tech. Additionally, I chose a modern typography that aligns the brand with innovation.
Illustrations and Photography:
Also, illustrations were used to represent the core features of the podcast, further enhancing the brand's unique identity. Now, what's a podcast without a bit of photography, right? The images used in the designs and for our contents are snapshots of what we're all about, student life.
